|Sixty-seven assorted wild animals, pets, farm animals and creepy crawlies.
Children from 5+ will enjoy learning their names, grouping and sorting them, describing them, comparing them plus many other activities.
Classifying and sorting involves finding things that are the same or alike and grouping them by specific traits or attributes. e.g a bunch of animals can be grouped based on their colour or type of animal.
Young children can classify anything, blocks, leaves or toys.
Older children can compare items further to learn more specific similarities and differences between items, both within and between matched groups.
Before young children can engage with numbers there are many beginning process skills which need to be understood. These include identifying and describing attributes, matching, sorting, comparing and ordering.
